Recruitment
The fire service was born as a volunteer trade. For hundreds of years, men and women have left their homes and jobs to help neighbors in need. Unfortunately in today's society volunteerism is suffering. People no longer live and work in the same community, and family commitments consume more time than ever. Complicating matters is the rising number of emergency calls that volunteers are expected to answer. Despite these challenges, the Green Tree Volunteer Fire Company has been providing quality fire and rescue services for over 80 years. To ensure our long-term success, we need more men and women to step forward and make the commitment to protecting their community.
