163 Rescue carries some of the most up-to-date equipment available on the market. This includes new Hurst hydraulic rescue tools, vehicle stabilization struts, air monitoring devices, rappelling/rope rescue equipment, emergency medical supplies and an automated external defibrillator (AED). Our personnel have extensive training in multiple rescue disciplines and are continually updating their skills.
2005 Pierce Dash pumper. This engine is first-due for all structure
fires, fire alarms, and smoke investigations within the borough.

1989 Seagrave pumper. Engine 2 is second-due for all residential
structure fires within the borough and is the first engine to respond
for mutual aid into other communities.
1972 Mack pumper, refurbished in 1994. Engine 5 responds to
vehicle fires, motor vehicle accidents, and water conditions.
2002 Pierce 100 foot elevated platform. The truck responds to high
rise and industrial incidents in the borough, and often responds into
neighboring communities for mutual aid.
1993 International rescue. The rescue responds to all motor vehicle
accidents, physical rescues, and carbon monoxide alarms. It is also
the second-due apparatus for mutual aid responses.
1997 Ford F-350 4x4. The squad is equipped for Rapid Intervention
Team operations and is also used to transport firefighters.
2000 Ford Explorer. The Chief's vehicle enables officers to quickly navigate their way to the scene and setup incident command.
